Good Morning!
That's a gorgeous pile of food! There's a table under there? LOL. Don't feel bad, my floor is covered in corn silk, beet juice and tomato seeds, plus the regular mess of dog hair and mud from not only root vegetables but everyone wearing shoes inside. The spiders have taken over and the dog is rolling a potato across the floor. And it can all wait until the garden's done for the season!!!

Good Morning!
Great haul of produce their Lizzie and Al!!! Good luck with the processing.
Nice day today. I played another round of "Chase the Chicken".... I forgot to latch the door on one of my grow out pens... had to spend a bunch of time catching some young pullets of of the bush, donated a bit more blood to the buckthorn, caught most of the escapees, just 1 Ameraucana and 3 guinea fowl left out.
I have meetings tomorrow so no teaching for me, not a bad break in the rountine.
Saturday morning I am going to an apple Tree Care Workshop at a local Apple Orchard, hope to learn a few things.
This afternoon I had to go back into town for a few minutes to pick up my oldest daughter from her basketball practice, my youngest daughter was home. On our front lawn drive beside our driveway we have a wild apple tree, when I was gone to town my daughter watched a car pull into out driveway, nothing strange people pull into our driveway all the time to turn around. She then sees a lady get out of the car with a plastic shopping bag and walk over and start picking apples for our tree while she is parking in our driveway, fills up with a couple dozen apples and then drives off. People are strange, I have stopped before and picked wild fruit, but to pull into someone's driveway and pick apples from a tree in front of a house, some people.

Good Morning!
Hey THANKS Jim and everyone else! yes we are very excited about our harvest. but we figure we have allready preserved, eaten and gave away just as much! WOOOOHOOOO we still have a crap tonne of tomatoes, kale, pole beans, brussel sprouts and oh ya potatoes! plus the purple sweet corn... I dont know whats going on, the cobs are forming with tassels comming out of them, big cobs though and our popcorn. not bad for a bunch of rookies.
We got to meet Baron today! We had a great visit and shared some laughs. I sent him home with some Jumbo cot eggs and some produce. I hope they hatch!!! He had a heck of a long drive ahead of him, from one side of Ontario to the other, 8+ hours or so! Crazy! It was great to meet you today Bert!
After that I went for a walk to the bush and checked everything out. I got my tree stand hung all the way up its nice and comfy! my ground blind is in great shape, I ment to take it down in the spring but glad it was fine. I went for a walk around the entire bush which isnt really all that big well, I found myself right in the middle of a nice thick patch of POISON IVY, TWICE!!! my pants and boots are still outside. LOL. Immediate dish soap scrub down and my fingers are crossed! I dont need poison ivy again. but at least I know where those 2 patches are. hows round up work on it? hmmm cant burn it, cant cut it n I dont have goats and i dont need any either. LOL
anyways have a good night! CHEERS!

Good Morning!
What is it with these women and their gardens? Lizzie has a bad back but the gardening gets done! Kathy and Martin (WLLady and Admin) are a half hour from Al and Lizzie...same story....same territory..bad back...monster garden ?!
I left my sister's place in London, the land is flat from there to Port Lambton! I thought I was in Manitoba. What do kids do in the winter? Push each other around on their sleds? Certainly no hills!
Not like my place: kids would come over and we'd match the snow conditions with the right hill, 9 different slopes from my house to the road.
I left their place at 1:30, got home at 11:00...at least I got a tank full of gas on the native reserve....87.5/litre! And...my car surprised me with the fuel consumption...almost 20% better than normal. I guess those brake calipers were that bad!
Thanks again for the veggies....why does a "salad" not sound as exciting as "corn roast" , or "fish fry?"

Diligently follow the path of two swords as one. Percieve that which the eye cannot see. Seek the truth in all things. Do not engage in useless activity.

Good Morning!
So there's a little cake with a candle under Ross' profile. Does that mean it's his birthday? If so have a great one!
