Good Morning!
Morning all! thursday.....week is slowly marching on. long weekend coming up though with monday's holiday! yay!
i just freeze my beans because i'm too darned lazy to sit over the stove and ice water all afternoon. LOL. i haven't ever noticed a difference in flavour. plus they aren't sprayed with everything under the sun so i also find they don't get all mushy or yucky when frozen. ah well. that's on my list for the weekend. the plants are busting with beans! and i have some weeding to do (as always) and need to replant for fall lettuce.....thankfully the tomatoes are ripening a little bit at a time! when they all decide to go it will be madness!
baron, sorry. i'm trying to get rid of all the tuits since i'll be collecting tuits like crazy next year. i know it's going to be a year of downtime, so i want to get it done now so i can watch it all go to heck for the year and know that at one point it was all done....LOL. plus surgeon says "stay active as much as you can". so. great way to stay active. i cannot tell you how much better it looks without the shed and old barn there. it's awesome. we had friends drop by last night and drop their jaw on the ground...how different it looks. of course, we're still finding nails...(with the magnet of course!) so a few more days of sweeping the magnet over it and i'll be a little more confident about driving through there to the field.
I have noticed that with the heat all my perennials are miles ahead this year. my ditch lilies that usually bloom end of july and beginning of august are finished as of yesterday! i sure hope that august is a bit cooler than the last 3 weeks....
hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning!
Sandy, I hope you feel better soon! I was in your shoes last year, i never did see a doctor and was out for 3-4 days, no one else got sick so it wasnt contagious. I believe I had west nile, hoping I did anyways and am now immune to it. iv never been so sick in my life! I should have seen a doctor but couldnt get out of bed, I just told Lizzie if I go unconscious call 911.
beans eh! were growing contender as well and been eating them as they come! Gage steals them right off the plant. but thats not what im happy about... I have a beautiful 3 sisters plot, one side is purple sweet corn, cantaloupe and Kentucky wonder pole beans, the other side is peaches n cream corn, a summer squash and kentucky wax beans. they are doing sooooo great and so is the rest of the gardens!!!!!

sandy, seriously get to a doctor, it sounds like you might have gotten some kind of food poisoning -aka salmonella-especially if you do okay until you eat....please! that fever was too high.
i do hope you are feeling better soon.
