Good Morning!
now that makes a tonne of sense Kathy as to why more roosters seem to hatch than hens. especially with this weather. my first batch of quail looked like all males a week or so ago. in a bit of a frustration I said no way! its too early to tell and stopped looking and havent checked since LOL. another 2 weeks and they will be fully mature and hopefully laying.... I'll recheck then. iv hatched 2 small batches of 6 quail each since then and another batch of 13 in cooking right now. iv been getting a 50% hatch rate but the other half didnt seem to develope at all... I chalk it up to the after 7 days of egg storage, hatchability drops considerably. I'm not storing them inside a ziplock the way I like in order to keep them viable longer so thats my fault but I can live with it.
I havent counted but all my spring chicken and turkey hatches would appear to be right around the 50% mark but we shall see. we're guna have to get a new freezer to put all these birds in! WOOHOOO PUMPED!

Good Morning!
One wheelbarrow at a time....lol. its not bad as long as i dont twist or carry too much. So atv trailer and wheelbarrow. No sawing for me. No axes either. Just sit on the ground and load the wheelbarrow and atv and unload at the bin....kinda boring. And i lie down on the barn floor for 10 mins every hour....that helps a lot. Really sweaty...i better be THIN when this is done or else!!!! The wood is so dry and dry rotted that a lot of it has shattered into foot pieces...

Good Morning!
i love the ears. paying attention. sure wish the 3 i have here right now were that attentive....i think the old lab is just trying to keep breathing in the heat and humidity, and the younger GSP can't figure out why it's harder to run as far so he tries until he's soaked in sweat and throwing up from heat stroke and the third is a dog sitting tag along something or another who is very very cute but keeps picking fights with everyone and everything....tonight it was a fight with the garden hose while doing chores, because i wouldn't let her into the coop to eat chickenNormaK wrote:QR_BBPOST She is a sweet tho very toy oriented girl who is now 7years old.

Misty does listen very intently just in case she hears the words play and toy/ball and cookie come out of our mouths.
