what a rush. just met a coon face to face in my garage. Allen saw it n I didnt even notice it at all. I didnt want to use a firearm in there but quick thinking quickly n safely dispatched it. thats 3 coons since we moved here and I got them before they caused any harm. what a rush!

Good morning,

Well, I've got my knickers in a knot today. (See beekeeping post 'why?). Good thing is I have a lot of work to do to keep my mind off of the lack of logic, trouble will be remaining disciplined to get the work done and not get lost in Google again.

My Legbars are doing wonderfully. Growing so fast and the little one I was keeping a close eye on now keeps up with the rest. The ducks love chick tv. They sit outside of their cage and watch them. Weird, but who am I to judge.

Going to pick up my new girl on Saturday. I swear I'm going to bust a gut before then.

I am considering another pup (male) for next year from Cinders breeder. Life is better with more dogs! Haha. Cinders breeder has 2 girls that need new homes. Boom Lake German Shepherds if you're interested. Trina is her name and a wonderful person. Small kennel, focused on the breed, not money. And if you're wondering how adorbs they are...

You're welcome. Haha!

Ok, I'm off to tackle the day. Have a good one!

Chaos in the turkey paddock this am. Running around chasing "something brown" all of them full tilt. 7 adults and 19 kids. Rushed down to find a poor bunny rabbit trying to get out LOL! It jumped up and go out in the end but boys those turkeys are fierce.

found a wasps nest. awesome. only got stung once, the nest has been soaked in wasp spray. glad we had a bunch of that hanging out. hate those yellow jackets. gah.
nearly pulled the old barn over at the same time! i honestly thought they were both coming down....glad they didn't so we can control the barn. LOL
feel like we're getting somewhere finally.

they're on the ground! yay! and mostly in little pieces....the wood is so old and dry rotted....just need the bin and load now. yay! good days work. and i do believe my hubby had some fun doing it! lol. and everyone is intact and no cats are missing. there are a few stray bats that found new spaces in the new barn, they'll adjust. dinner is in the oven, and we are flaking out for the rest of the evening. that was a lot of work. have someone coming to scrounge through the pieces and take what they want, what they think might be useful for building their coop/fixing stuff. otherwise, it's all on the ground and just needs cleaning up. so the big part of the job is done! hopefully the bin will arrive this week-given we have holidays this week and the time to deal with it. i can also get the fence up now while we are waiting on the bin, we are putting a gate in for moving hay into the paddock for the horses, so 4 posts, and the tape and connectors etc etc etc. lots to do. also need to get some weeding in the garden done. so. good days work.
