good afternoon ya'll! I just wanted to let you all know that I did some gardening yesterday! :rofl1: whoda thunk that could be done on Dec 22! well this year ya can! I dug up all the plants I planted from the old house and moved them here but they have been sitting in pots ever since... I got 6 blueberries, 1 cranberry and a plum tree planted. I still have a few more to go, wild blackberries i dug up out of the hedgerow, a grape vine I tried to see if I could transplant, its live root with a piece of the vine it bears big plump green grapes, Saskatoon berry, goji berry plus a bunch of herbs n such not sure what to do with those yet. I want them in the sun room but need to build something to set them on and capture/retain water. I might just build a box out of pine barn board and line it with plastic.

a couple pics of the berries... you know I just thought im guna have fence the kids out if i ever want to get a big enough crop to be able to make jam or something haha!

LOL Epona! I might be able to keep a banana tree in the sunroom! anyone know where to get one? and maybe a tangerine?

theres an elderly man in Sarnia that has an orange tree in his yard. every fall he digs a massive hole and puts the tree in it. then every spring digs er out. pretty neat!

I also remember going to some sort of hobby farm or something around there somewhere as well... any idea what that was? maybe the same one your boy went to last spring? hmmmmm i think it was a sanctuary it was pretty friggin cool to!

Good Morning on this unusual Christmas Eve, 12C must be beating all records in the last couple hundred years?
Very windy but the sun is peaking out, so one more day on free range for the flock. :)
Will break down today and go cut down a Christmas tree, although seriously, without snow doesn't seem much fun.
Have a safe one!
