Good Morning!
Yep, and with steel shot the raptor won't die of lead poisioning. That's what's sinking the California condor, they eat carrion and eat the deer that hunters wound and lose. Dead from lead poisioning.
The first story, the laywer with the theory, well included in evidence from the wound on the "murder" victim is a tiny owl feather, pulled from the wound, that only matches a leg feather from an owl. But the prosecutor won't talk to him, so instead a man is in jail for killing his wife with an "unknown weapon" attack to the back of the head. Of course, the law is always right.
Here's another story of owls attacking people
A quote "A rogue owl has terrorized a northern Dutch city for the past year, forcing locals to arm themselves with umbrellas at night. Officials have now announced the bird has been safely captured."

Good Morning!
for the most part Baron and even when im shooting clays I use steel. I have a crate full of steel target loads. but some loads dont come in steel such as turkey. plus I wouldn't want to shoot that through my turkey choke. I prolly wouldnt make it back.

Good Morning!
i had a coopers hawk get me last deer season, ripped a hole in my hunting hat, thankfully didn't draw blood but sure scared me! almost right out of the tree stand!...LOL. thankfully not an owl. and i did come face to face with a snowy owl 2 years ago in my run in...it flew in as i was walking out. holy crap, those things are HUGE....i honestly think it scared me more than i scared it! when i was a kid once we found a little barred owl sitting on a hydro pole and my sister was convinced she could make it twist it's head off, since it was watching us, and looked like it was just twisting it's head all the way around when we walked around the pole LOL. amazing birds.
well, sitting surrounded by critters, hubby is in germany, home soon....flying visit for family stuff. so i have the weekend footloose and fancy free...with two huge boxes with an incubator and a hatcher that i can't lift. LOL. itching to set them up. Never got to legbands today, but did clean some pens and waterers, got a heat lamp up for the youngsters in the barn for the next 2 cold days/nights. watching the clouds racing now...going to get windy soon....can hear it coming. all the fuzzybutts in the brooder are doing great. have a couple of chicks with the turkeys, and they're all eating and drinking. i find the turkey poults so much more personable than chicks...lol. at least these ones are super curious. and had a wonderful breakthrough today! i can wiggle the toes on my left foot again! for the first time in about 7 months! whoohoo! The new antiinflammatories must be helping some.
Do people think we need the facebook PTO page anymore? we are attracting some people to sign into the board from facebook....but I'm thinking about closing the page (or at least making someone else in charge of it). We aren't collectively doing much with the page except referring folks to the forum....thoughts?
hope everyone has a warm, not too snowy and safe evening!

Wiggling toes on your left foot in 7 months! God bless ya, i couldn't fathom the "discomfort" you're in.
I vote you can let the facebook page go.
