It's all Joan's fault. The 2 Ameraucana pullets she sent over clearly think they're ducks and spent yesterday paddling around in a very large puddle pond between us and neighbours cattle pen (lovely). They have taught some of our original girls what fun this is and I was treated to the sight of a bunch of hens happily wading through breast deep water. No camera around of course! Between them and the turkeys mudbathing we have a lot of dirty birds.

Wow killerbunny, I have never seen chickens go that deep into the water. here they skirt around even the smallest puddles. Starting to get over the cold. managed to get out for a walk and enjoy the beautiful day. Only stopped twice to blow my nose and have a good cough!
