Deep frying is fine! Use hot oil and most of it isn't absorbed by the food.

OK so currently there is a lot of whingeing about tax on alcohol and smokes going up. Also food prices. Soooooo interviews on TV - 2 people. Lady 1 I can't afford this etc. etc. it cost me x , pan to trunk and you could see the chips and junk food. Lady 2, older woman. I can't afford meat and fruit anymore, it's all so expensive - pan to back of car with the flat of soda and the chips! We no longer get the ready done FoodBank bags you can purchase in the store for $10 or $15 because we noticed they put junk foods in there rather than the basics for people. Round here the Fire Dept. was collecting and the requests were for flour etc because more people bake and cook themselves. Rant over!

oh the things i should not read at breakfast....lol. my first thought was did i wash the air fryer??!! lol

okay. forum stays as is. maybe as people go to sales and shows they can spread the word and see if we cant generate a bit more traffic.

that was a 0/10 on the weather yesterday-highly not recommended. lol. we are frozen into a sheet of ice. have to get to work today! at least the sun is up a bit earlier so its not night driving anymore. and the ice on the trees is pretty...just please dont get windy!

ducks settled in great. need to do the introduction soon to my two ducks. but i was going to wait until they can be outside. that sliding door seems to have survived the weather so far! horse is starving-i better get her breakfast before she breaks into the house. shes learning and stayed in the barn yesterday. bald eagles are flying this morn so weather must be better lol
have a good day all

Oh no WLLady. Ice is the worst! It's snow here so far and I hope it stays that way.

I've a sicky in the coop - at least she looks a bit sick to me. She's been all fluffed up for days now, with a pale comb that is curled, and she's been hiding in the nesting box. When it was so bitterly cold, I thought she'd be better off on the roost with the others, so I hauled her out and plonked her up with them. After two days of this, she now waits in a corner of the coop for me to lift her up. They've been molting, so that could account for the pale comb and it was very cold for a while, although the others weren't fluffed up like her. She's not listless, but seems quite perky and I noticed egg on her comb, indicating that she's my egg-eater :(.

So I've had a cat all my life. Our cat Pizza passed away in Nov. Now we have mice. I have setup 3 live traps, then 4 tomcat kill the mouse traps, and still no mouse. I see the mouse occasionally so it's still in the house. I have a nephew, niece and friend allergic to cats so I decide not to get another cat. Am I doing something wrong? Also although Otis is the hungriest Lab I've ever had. He can't see the mouse even if it runs along a wall right near him. Lol

What are you using as bait lolotsung? We find that Peanut Butter works.

We came home one winter to find dried macaroni in the dishwasher door, the cutlery drawer and under my pillow. They ate bags of chips, Knorr cheese sauces, and muffin mixes! On a previous occasion, the mice had stashed piles of rice inside a boot and in a coat pocket. Crazy mice!

I'm using peanut butter. Maybe I have a super smart mouse? Or a mouse that doesn't like peanut butter? The trap has been triggered twice in months (distinct possibility that a human triggered it) but no mouse in the trap. Should I maybe buy more traps? We are moving into our new house in a month (where will I find time to move a house!) and I'm hoping the mouse doesn't get accidentally moved to the new house. Lol.
