Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?
The best summary I found on the web explaining the data, science, background.
How the measures in place work and why, what it means for the outcomes and lots and lots of comparisons of measures. Inclusive the "dance" coming after the "hammer". i.e. the long term changes needed after the restrictions we see now.
Since most of the above data is for US, I wanted to also see what the ICU capacity in Ontario is. Found this report from 2006. 14 years ago, but at least something. https://www.criticalcareontario.ca/EN/T ... 006%29.pdf
So for my LHIN this were 1 ICU bed for every 7000 people.

Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?
Its not a hard thing to do really, this social distancing, although I would not enjoy apartment living during this time, with not a lot to do, filling my hours with binge watching and jigsaw puzzles...I think it should show people how they waste their lives or at least their non working hours....i am looking out my window at snow falling on snowless meadows just beinning to waken from winter and nary a soul in sight, not there ever is. I think the hardest part so far in this experience is staying away from our kids and grandkids, altho we do facetime or skype etc but not giving hugs etc is not great. But this too shall pass. I am with Martin on this in my snow snow go away sentiment, as we have lost all but little crusty vestiges of the whuite stuff under the denser forest canopy. The local businesses are being wonderful during this shut down and it is nice to see the community strive to do things right but its always been that way in this rural township. So things are settling in and I have lots to do here, cleaning out deep littered coops ( ya, no fun, lol) building a sugar house for next season and finishing my final year of open boil for syrup...yet another yeild of this beautiful nectar...dark, a littel smoky and soooooo good. Have to start putting in next years wood so may as well get started on that this week and may have some BCM eggs to hatch out. Always something. Stay safe folks.

DH, who is an expert in this stuff, says this is not adequate. He suggests a bandolier made from Baler twine would complete the outfit.

Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?
Some guy wants hatching eggs. Asked if I had wiped the eggs with lysol. I said you take them the way they are, and if you wipe them with lysol, the fertility/hatching rate might be way down, but probably best for you to just not get them from me right now.
Yes I am being careful. No, I dont want to get this. But I am not going to alter some things that are involved in the circle of life. Lysol my garden seeds? No, life must go on. I refuse to be scared of my shadow. This is sort of hard to comment on and put into words, but I tried here.

Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?
It's OK tends to not be much of a concern except in hatcheries and there is a vaccine available for it.
