Look out Donna, Ross will be chasing you round soon!
The only thing I will say is keep up on whatever Physio they suggest, that's critical to a good outcome but I'm certain you will!

yay @ross !!!! yep, do your physio, and keep looking forward! i bet you feel a difference in the pain levels already! hope you heal up super fast and super well! (and i totally agree donna-watch out....!) safe travels home!

another super cold one. but at least there's sun! we still haven't gotten the starter for the tractor delivered....argh! so this morning we had to move a big round of hay by hand. oh fun. not too bad except when the bale won't fit between the posts in the barn to go out the back door for the horses. i swear cold weather just makes everything harder.
anyways, bale is out, i'm sure the horses have it spread all over 3 acres and are laying in it right now. hopefully they'll warm up in the sun. they were actually IN the barn for the first time ever this morning. not too pleasant outside....just enough of a west wind to make it super cold. one more day of this....we can do it! hopefully the starter will come soon....we really DO need a working tractor. thankfully the heated waterers seem to be doing their jobs.....so far. and everyone was the right way up this morning. not surprisingly the number of eggs has dropped off the last 2 days, i'm actually surprised i'm getting any at all! stay warm everyone!

Good morning,
It would appear that the Journalists "catastrophising" the weather, where we used to have FOUR different weather warnings, we now have ELEVEN and one extra in Western Canada.
I thought it was only me that felt the Weather channels are desperate for bad news, and Weather forecasters have started to suggest what clothes we should be wearing on any given day, as if we wouldn't be able to dress ourselves without their fashion input.
Bit of a rant, sorry :)
In my effort to make our "aging in place" a bit less labour intensive, I am seriously considering a "Snow Joe cordless Hybrid snow blower" to replace a shovel for cleaning patio and walkway, which is difficult to do with the large heavy gasoline one we have.
any input welcomed.

One of my clients purchased the Robi battery snowblower and has only good things to say about.

You just have to hear the weather guys, even when it's not too bad saying " don't go out"! My conspiracy theory self thinks they are trying to make us easier to control.
