Good Morning!

An icy, slushy mess here today. School buses cancelled again today, 4th day in 2 weeks. Our power only flickered off last night a couple times, but power out in various locations not too far way.

I stayed home with the kids.

Cleaning our basement, so we can have someone drywall the ceiling is a couple weeks. I got 2 quotes for drywalling ceiling (installing furring strips, hang board, mud, tape and sand plus they supply materials), ceiling is 500 sq. feet. One quote was $1600 plus hst the other quote was $5500 plus hst. Crazy!!! Waiting for 1 more quote this weekend.

We survived our storm unscathed. Sorry OC to hear you did not. Falling on the ice is one of my biggest fears. Threw my back out badly once catching myself from slipping. Ended up in hospital. Said at the time I should have just let myself fall, a broken wrist would have been easier than the back pain.

We are ankle deep in slush. Going to be gross when it gets cold tonight. Never even had the power flicker here but some people close to us have been out.

My baby girl is 19 today. The first time she has had a birthday that I will not see her. The time goes so fast. She will be home for her reading break on Saturday.
