Yes she is a cuckoo showgirl, she won't be giving any eggs for a while now.

They never disappoint. The Showgirl taking care of the lighter coloured chicks is like clockwork, every January, broody. She will be broody 2x times this year. Hence, the issuePenny wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 12:57 pmI didnt have any broodies until June last year. I only kept 8 of my Ameraucana chicks for myself and could have sold twice as many as I did...hence the brooder and soon incubator. lol...maybe I should just hatch some silkies first and make my own incubators. lol

And here I was just happy to be collecting more eggs per day this year!
But, I am looking forward to the 6 Rhode Island Reds that we will be receiving on March 18th. They will be bred with our BR rooster so we can hatch some BSL's.
Black Sex-Links were our first hens, and very prolific layers.

Good morning, sunny and brisk here, what an odd winter.
Noticed lots of tracks by the creek, most of them I recognize but there are few I am not sure of, bigger then a cat, smaller then a coyote and the dog seems to be very interested.
Laying has definitely ramped up, and 2 flies in the house yesterday, spring must be just around the corner, never mind the groundhog

I would hazard a guess that those tracks were from a fox.Ontario Chick wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 8:26 amGood morning, sunny and brisk here, what an odd winter.
