I don't have any stats, but I imagine the numbers are large.
The number of status red and amber out of control fires has gone down quite a bit since this past weekend's spike (their status has been downgraded, not necessarily under control), but there are still so many fires spreading. It's far from over.

"The National Farmers Federation estimates that more than 100,000 sheep and 25,000 cattle have perished or been euthanized due to the ongoing fires. Expert forecasts suggest that 1.7 million sheep and 450,000 cattle may be affected before fires are under control. No information on poultry barn losses is forthcoming at this point."

It's so sad I think the wildlife is so confused they don't know what they are doing, I've seen videos of animals going back into the fire area.

Yep animals in barn fires act same way when chased out of barn . Hard to take .
