This year I didn't renew any of my memberships because it doesn't make sense with no birds and I am always so far from everything. Well wouldn't you know, I got a letter from one club saying that this year I won my membership, lol.

With 3 Alerts out by OMAFRA at the moment, I think bio-security is the name of the game again. That includes your cloths, shoes, tires, ...

I always worry about the tires, we still go to the Feed store, and Hardware store and Tim Hortons and let's face it there are lots of completely oblivious people out there...

For BST definitely Mt. Forest, but whether buying or selling be there by daylight (best stuff sells quickly) Sunday April 30th.

I went to Hagersville this morning and may go to Woodstock tonight. I found it a bit sketchy to be honest. It took me 30 min to find the livestock area, nobody would tell me where it was, acted like I was crazy. Then I finally stumbled into it and two of the people I had asked were in there! Lots of the birds looked pretty decrepit. One lady was shoving her hens into cages and found one of them had died on the way there. It was absolutely freezing, I felt bad for the chicks :( I was there a couple of hours before auction time so I can imagine they were pretty cold by the time it started! The women bathroom had flooded too, yuck. Maybe I was naive, just thought it would be nicer.
