You probably don't want to opt for whole wheat anything at a fast food joint. To make it more palatable, they dump in loads more salt, fat and sugar than the 'white' options.

I wonder what the 'meat' is in Tim Hortons Chilli. I haven't had that since I was pregnant with JT.

Its really sad but most of the so called.fast food joints offer crap styled up for eye appeal.and seriously studied taste configurations...as Sandy pointed out only the vegie sub is close to desirable at Subway and i have serious doubts about their breads..the next step up are chain restaurants like Kelseys, Montanas, Boston Pizza, Broadway etc...there is very little food actually cooked from scratch on these places..it's mosty assembly 'cooking' or plating of previoisly offsite prepared concoctions...even the burgers are often not made onsite..fries certainly are not always just potato...kinda sad really...and stupid expensive too :running-chicken:

I went to an East Side Marios once, never again. I love food, and I LOOOVVVEE pasta. I judge the quality of any restaurant by their spaghetti (so if they don't have it, they're immediately on the 'crap' list lol) I went with a party of 9, everybody ordered something different, I tasted all of it after I choked down a bite or two of my expensive garbage. All of it was vile. Pretty sure the sauce came directly out of an unheated dollar can of no name tomato sauce.

I so grateful for the little restaurants that cook real food in the next town over. I do enjoy a night off from the kitchen Occasionally. :)

Food fraud: we haven't seen the end of it yet.
WWW, now that we can get great sauces from a jar, why would you order Italian when you go out? I order stuff I couldn't bother to make at home.
