Baron rides again

Post by Skinny rooster » Wed Nov 30, 2016 11:41 pm

Are you fighting off the winter blahs or do you like driving in crazy weather?? Lol.

I am going to do the same one of these days. Back when I was in my early twenties, myself and a bunch of buddies from neighbouring farms used to go down to Cookstown with the calves every fall. I miss those days, after the auction we would tour around St. Jacobs, Elmira, Guelph etc, it's beautiful country down there. We would also go buy gates and wagons from the Mennonites, not to mention the best apples in the country down there. Sigh..... the good old days.

Baron rides again

The penny just dropped Baron. I used to fly in to Renfrew airport as a child (on my own) to visit relatives in Scotland in the 60's. It was just a single building with arrivals and departures ends. I took one of the first jet engine flights up there.

Freezing rain happened in the early morn, once we were an hour south it was just rain. (Thankfully) plus we left around 9:30 instead of 7:30 so it was warming up.

Al you are a PITA! You want pics....fine...stay tuned. :farmer:

Fyi Carla did come along and we laughed and teased each other all the way. (Advice I heard somewhere: marry somebody as if you were kids and like to play with them in a sandbox..someone you enjoy spending time with.) here's to the next 20
