It is very much appreciated and thanks is said not near enough
I'm sorta a newbie on the site
But have made friends and learned a lot in that time

Dear Erin,
I have only been on PSO for approximately 3 years, I think? Maybe?
I found the forum at a time when I was moving away from hatchery birds, beginning to breed seriously for the first time in my life, and encountering serious setbacks, illnesses and other things I hadn't noticed before my handful of chickens stopped being "just eggs and meat" and started becoming a 100 bird way of life. I found MY breeds to focus on with the help of PSO. I bought and traded birds from members, and got priceless information about EVERYTHING to do with chicken keeping from a to z. Before PSO I'd had chickens on and off for 40 years, but I could have filled a large book with what I didn't know or hadn't encountered yet. PSO was my chicken bible, and when things went awry, PSO members stepped up to help. I owe the very life of my flocks to members who helped me through some devastating issues. It was a community of poultry farmers, hobbyists and fanciers without peer. YOU, Erin, built that and maintained it, and are responsible for perpetuating the love and enjoyment of poultry in many people! So much so that many could not stand the thought of a forum like yours being lost. YOU brought us together, and for that there aren't thanks enough. I wish you endless joy in your future endeavors, and hope you'll find the time to stop in on your 'spin-off' from time to time!

Erin

The gift you gave us, PSO, without a doubt, saved my poultry adventure from crashing and burning to the ground at least twice in my 6 month old adventure. Without this forum and the members on it, I would of lost some pretty critical battles along my journey so far and I credit any success I've had in these situations to my access to PSO, which you have provided.

I thank you for your time, dedication and involvement. I've also met some friends that will hopefully last a lifetime.

Don't be a stranger on PTO, you're an integral part to the family and without you, there wouldn't of been an us.

Thanks for the effort that you put into PSO. It was an invaluable resource for finding rare poultry and for me learning about exhibition poultry. I have even met fellow PSOers at fairs that I would have passed by 3 years ago. GOOD LUCK!

Erin: thanks for building and maintaining a meeting place such as this. i curse at my computers with the endless updates and viruses and spam attacks; and that's me with two laptops an iphone and an ipad. i wouldn't have the patience to deal with the computer problems let alone being a friendly "cop" keeping folks in line. To top it off you kept it ad free, and those bloody things get under my skin as it is.

I tip my hat to you and raise my coffee in a toast! :sSig_number1:
