The peaceful sounds of a country night.

I dont mind gunshots breaking the night silence and neither do my neighbors. I think we give each other thumbs up when we hear them. all our neighbors are great. ones kids go to school with ours and had said our roosters wake them up. but they did not complain AT ALL and then asked if we have eggs they could buy. Sure thing. they enjoyed them thourghly. all our neighbors are great around here. we've actually met a lot of them here at the new place. we only met one neighbor at the old place and that was only because their Stallion was running down the road and Lizzie grabbed him up and put him in the pasture until we figured out where he belonged. (p.s.... I ran the other way LOL)

We just love it here at the new place.

:)
redninja,
We might have the same neighbor, cut all the trees down, planted grass and fenced the whole thing in, I presume to keep the nature out?
and now rides on the lawn mover round and round and round, must have been his dream of living in the country ;)
Lights on 24/7 so I suppose afraid of the dark or whatever might make it over the chain link fence?
Problems starts when this type of people finish with completely controlling their own environment, they start to look around to see if they could fix the rest of the countryside to their own liking.

The only complaint when I got rid of the other 2 roosters was they missed hearing them, very pleased when Lucky showed up. Of course he came well trained and doesn't start up until he hears somebody about!

Yeah I don't understand lights on 24/7 and blinding light at that!
