Re: Rice
i had some chicken and rice and vegetables left over once that i threw out for the chickens and turkeys.
the chickens dove in and ate the rice, broccoli and cauliflower but the beans were too big. the tom turkeys tried to eat the rice but the snoods kept pushing it out of the way, so the chickens ended up getting the rice. The turkeys would stand on the beans and pull them apart, at which time the chickens would dive in and steal the seeds of the beans as they came out. The turkeys threw the broccoli and the rest of the beans, and ate the cauliflower. then the dog ate the garlic and onions and the cat actually fought the dog off for the chicken (not that it's hard to fight off the lab, one look and he goes away). at least nothing went to waste, although i can count on the dog eating anything and everything that is left over.

Re: Rice
OC, not all chicken choices are healthy, my ladies go crazy for white bread, but the looks of disappointment on them when I try to give them whole grain, it's like telling little kids you have a special treat for them and they find out it's fresh broccoli! I think the whole grain must taste too much like eating scratch feed. Lol
