Yes the webinar has said that they are dealing with Trauma when this happens and in Ontario there is a farmers mental health line. It's the way people blame the "greedy farmers" for price hikes when they aren't seeing the returns. My neighbour where I get my beef isn't exactly rich but he does treat his animals well!

Re: Good Morning
Hard frost last night, -6. Bright and sunny this morning, but they say the same kind of temp tonight. Daffodils and narcisusses up and blooming all over the place. Broke up some clumps of dafs and spread around in ditch and mailbox etc, let the establish there. I have potatoes up, and I covered them, think I will just leave them til tomorrow to uncover. Still shooting for new potatoes by fathers day, shall see if it comes about. Got peas in a few days ago. Other than that, been pretty lazy for garden stuff. Getting about ten eggs a day now from about 20 hens. Two hens running around with chicks, another one setting for about the fifth week, got off a couple weeks ago and got back on the wrong nest, eggs were stone cold, so I gave her some more and put her in a cage. Some cute baby goats around, looking for new home. Getting about 4L a day extra milk.

I started a new job 2 weeks ago. Doug Dixon and Associates. My first summer job was with a small Richmond Hill firm. It was great. Been working (a slave) for large firms for the last 28 years and now I'm back to a small firm. I'm working with one of the best Bridge Engineers in Toronto. My last firm I was working with one of the best too but he retired because of Covid... He is 75+ but still super sharp! Hope everyone makes it through HPAI unscathed
