Fat Tuesday

Post by Farrier1987 » Tue Feb 09, 2016 10:41 am

Well its here. The start of Lent. Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Carnival in Rio. Pancakes at our house.

Having some neighbors over for lunch. Pancakes made with goats milk and home grown eggs. Home grown sausage and bacon. My wife is in her glory cooking and serving people. I am in my glory, showing people how I feed the three week old chicks out of my hand. Spoil the goats and mini horse with left over pancakes. Tease the chickens by tearing up pancakes and throwing chinks and watching them chase each other around. Neighbors will eat too much and complain, tell me I am being mean to my animals.

Life is good. Happy Fat Tuesday.

sounds amazing! we were going to finish the rabbit stew that i made on sunday, but i think pancakes is much more in order for dinner tonight.
i didn't know goats and horses would eat pancakes LOL-although my gelding would probably make faces at them. my chickens go nuts for them....but we rarely have leftovers, not with pancakes LOL

Yeah... I'd like some home grown sausage! What seeds do you use?

Sorry, I had to.

Pigs are on my "to do soon" list, gotta repurpose the barn and barnyard.

I can't wait to hold a similar feast :farmer:

That does sound great! Two other parents and I cooked up over 400 pancakes yesterday for the students at our kid's school! 2 pancakes, syrup, and a juice box for the kiddos :)
