hot summer ahead

Post by baronrenfrew » Mon Mar 23, 2020 7:39 am

I predict a hot summer ahead (with more intense rainstorms).

There's a video from the BBC on Global Dimming - simply that air pollution reflects sunlight back into space - and water vapor at high altitude from aircraft contrails do as well. From 1957 to the mid 1980's sunlight hitting the earth decreased by 5-20% depending on where you are, due to this reflection effect. Upon this discovery they looked at US weather data for the 3 days after September 11 (when all aircraft were grounded) and there is a measurable increase in temperature range. BBC Documentary here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c0BMyT4RCzY

Therefore - it will be a hot summer.

Yeah, we have really gotten ourselves into a pickle - need to stop emissions to stop climate change, but the emissions are dampening some of the effects of global warming. Def gonna be a hot one this year.

It seems insane that we have dimmed the skies by 5% in such a short time, let alone up to 20%!!
