Thought I'd share. Josh and I suffer from tree and a few other seasonal allergies. There was a huge amount of allergy drugs consumed to survive spring and fall. Each season had its own version of misery like swollen, red watery eyes, ear infections, sinus infections and daily pounding Face-aches (headaches where my sinuses were), which of course led to antibotics. I was stuck in a viscous circle. Miserable. Josh not as severe, but still not a fun time. A good friend (acupuncturist), told me to start taking local raw honey every day and probiotics. We started in the fall of 2012 and by the following spring We were 90% free of suffering. By the end of the the 2012 spring season we had kicked seasonal allergies ass!! I think of all the years of lost enjoyment and suffering and it's quite frustrating.

On the note of Probiotics. Saved my life when it comes to diabetes! It's what the pharmaceutical companies, clinics and doctors who make a living off the sick don't want you to know.

Alright .. I've rambled :hijacked:

I'm so glad I have my own bees/honey, especially after reading this. I do know, that if you eat your honey, especially in HOT drinks.. wait until it cools first, so you don't kill the good value in it. I only strain mine thru a strainer, with very small holes. Sure, its not very clear and you can see bits of 'stuff' (not bee parts... I'm thinking probs pollen, and wax pieces), but its soo soo yummy.

Honey right out of the frame, when its WARM from the bees/sun, is the most spectacular tasting stuff there ever was and is. Eating honey thats sat around in a jar, cold... well, I have a hard time taking a big spoonful down in my mouth... but I can't get enough of the stuff, when its first cut out. And grabbing chunks of the wax, that you pick off the frame is so good to chew! Especially when its saturated in that honey.
