KITCHEN DISASTER!!!!! Need Help!!!
I hate Construction! Although English is my first language I don't always get what I ask for.

Silkie Sue, I'm no carpenter so forgive me for asking, but what's so dreadful about them? They will have cabinet doors on them, right? so you won't be able to see the backs.
Are some supposed to hang from the wall? Was there a plan for the sizes and how they were supposed to fit together?
I think once the counter tops are on them and the doors are installed, you might like them better- and could they be used for storage somewhere else if all else fails, perhaps? You've spent so much money on them, it would be a shame to use them for nest boxes.

KITCHEN DISASTER!!!!! Need Help!!!
We had a FUBAR moment too this past summer- Silkie Sue you aren't alone. We ordered a special, custom sized, wood patio door to replace a very nice one we had, that was rotting out and had to be replaced.
I asked the renovation guy, to confirm that the door was all wood, hardwood so the dogs couldn't destroy it easily, and not some cheap crappy laminate stuck over top of vinyl.
He ordered us the Moose patio door from Ostaco- I was stupid enough to go on his word and by the brochure that this was a good door. When it arrived, it had no packaging, and was UNFINISHED with many, many greasy black finger prints all over pretty well every part. And yes, it was PINE wood glued to the blasted vinyl. At least it's aluminum on the outside.
Cheap, cheap door, expensive price. Since it was custom and we wanted the work done we went ahead and had the door put in. The renovation guy said the door was unfinished so that we could finish it ourselves any way we wanted :-/ ... WT#?
Should have had the guy pack it up and take it home the instant it was off the delivery truck. I hate the door, every time I use it I'm reminded of how we were ripped off.
Stupid, Stupid stupid- there were all kinds of alarm bellls going off (Like why hadn't they asked what finish I wanted, and how could I be so stupid as to buy a door without seeing anything but a crappy picture of it??? So much for trusting people. AArgghhh) NEVER again will I buy anything like that without seeing the real thing.
Ostaco your "wood" patio doors suck.
Repeated experiences like this are why our house is falling down, I hate the whole renovation process.

KITCHEN DISASTER!!!!! Need Help!!!
I know.... like if we had the time we would have built them ourselves, but we were busy doing everything else to get ready for the cabinets,,, I honestly think they are salvagable, my husband is not as critical of them as originally he was... i got in from the barn last night and he them all in their places and asked me to help him get them on the wall.... but.... " i am not supposed to get my hopes up" lol
i think they have a chance

Silkie Sue that's looking great! When you get the cabinet doors on and countertops, hopefully all will be well.

They look sturdy! Hopefully the doors and trim will work out ok, would be a shame to be stuck with something you hate for so much $$

Can you get any compensation from the guy? What did he say? I imagine he wouldn't want a bad reputation in the community. Remember if you can make that kitchen workable and live with it you'll have the money you would have spent on a second one to buy critters!

Sue...it all looks salvageable from the photos that you put up, unless theres something I can't see...only thing thats glaringly problematic to me would be the upper cabinets either side of the sink window are wayyyyy too close, crowding the window..theres no room for the casing....your guy should step up and at least correct that...means two new boxes...not a disaster so far...doable...just musing here cuz its what I do...Tom

I agree with Tom, it all looks salvageable, and your guy needs to step and and replace the cabinets by the windows. Also, unless I'm missing something, shouldn't that over-the-range cabinet go right across and butt up against the cabinets on either side? I'd tell your guy to replace that one too.
