I read, don't understand, so Google, read some more and STILL don't understand!
Ancestry gave me a list of 1,000 "Matches" to my DNA
Some are promising and I also downloaded my DNA to "GEDmatch"
GED has given me Hundreds of matches
I NEED help to understand the following
No matter how many articles I read, I can't grasp what is an "X"
(what it is good for, or IF it can be any help in my search)
Is there any way to figure out which is the "Mitochondrial" in my DNA results.
(GEDmatch lets you search your matches using Auto, or X so where would I find Mit)
GEDmatch says to be a good match you will need 700SNP and 7cM
But I don't know where to find the SNP in my DNA results
I have a Male match which is 1411cMs across 57 segments
Ancestry says the match "could" be aunt, uncle, grandparent or Half-sibling!!!
ANYONE know about this stuff........ANYONE......... "WLLady" ?????? ha ha ha ha
