Spring is here and its -8. I am being lazy and waiting for the sun to "scrape" the ice off my truck before i wander to the feed store. Some chicks going to new homes today! And visits with friends. And for the next 2 days i am to do no physio! Lol. Whatever will i spend my time doing? Apparantly i have been doing too much my physiotherapist says. Lol. Me? Type a personality....doing too much? Never. Ha ha. Turkeys hatching in the bator-6 so far. 2 eggs aborted, 10 set....so...not that bad for eggs collected in blowing snow and general march lioness weather! My turkeys seem to refuse to lay inside.....argh.
Will be harassing starlings shortly-after i get my butt going. Need to dig out some chick boxes and get them ready.....and oh yeah...caffeine. lol. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

That wind is cold!!!! Brrrr. Feed store-done. Groceries-done. Chicks on their way to new homes-done. Visiting with friends is priceless....glad they came!!! Feed unloaded-done. Lunch time lol.
Then out to start wire in the barn. After lunch. .and 2 more turkeys hatched!! Yay. Need to replace a broken tray in an autoturner and get some more liners for the sportsman hatcher-sure makes clean up easier!

First babies of the season! 6 out of 8. Silly hen. And silly me, thinking it would be nice enough by now to start turning them outside :?

@windwalkingwolf she's beautiful! What is she? Congrats btw! I fired up an incubator last night. Fertility hasn't been great but I want to check that this incubator works before I rehome Harley and his girls. Got plans for some not too cheap eggs so a practice run with some free ones.
