Well thats just nuts and totally disrespectful of that landlord. 100 birds in that yard is way over the top, and just who is going to look after these birds?... Certainly not the tenants and where is all the
going to go...this has all the makings of a nightmare and no doubt this will be in place before the proposed bylaw is in place so she will be claiming to be grandfathered in...people like this ruin it for all...there's an agenda here, have no fear...corrogated steel coops? OMG

I think there is more to this than meets the eye.
Anyway, we used to live there and they never seemed to care about polluted Oak Bay where the untreated sewage went! I hope they have fixed it now.

I think the landlord is bananas. Providing your low-income tenants with fresh food is a fine goal, but either she hasn't done the $ math, or she's planning to sell live chickens to her tenants, for meat.
Turning that barren backyard into a large 'community' garden would be a better idea, and
could be done practically free.
