Food : potluck
Drink: whatever as long as you do not drink and drive
Lodging: i have a barn.....london has hotels 45 mins away....tents...trailers....livingroom floor.....byob sleeping bag....lol
A list of ingredients in your food to share is appreciated for allergies. Byo meat for the bbq.....we have a bbq....paper plates etc....someone needs to bring marshmellows for the bonfire-byo marshmellow roasting sticks. Please leave pets at home if possible....i already have too many....kids are fine but are parents responsibility. There is no pool access but we could put up a sprinkler lol.
No special permission needed from pto-just let us know where to come ha ha. I will start another topic secured for attendees for food etc in a bit....confirmed people will be added and have access to planning info. :-)

Sounds like even with a Poll, there has to be some one who Offers to host the event in that Winning area.

Would it be OK if there were a few PikNiks, thrown by random PTO members?

Would a PikNik have to get PTO approval before hand?
There were suggestions for where to do the central location meet, but none found great acceptance. I think it would be much better there than one in SW Ontario. But since there is no idea floating around, the next best thing is one here since @windwalkingwolf had the first one last year in eastern Ontario. I am not sure we need someone hosting the event, but the matter of cost for camping or community center renting is always an issue.

There can always be more Pikniks! Please have lots! And invite people to come.
As for PTO approval, that actually made me stop and roflmbo . You want a BBQ? Have one! You would like some private space here to help you organize it? You got it! Anything else you need we can do? You got it! :beer2:

Well the Princess didn't want to "ASSUME"
( This is only in the Thinking stage ~ have to figure out the Septic situation - ha ha ha )

I was just figured if a PikNik wasn't a massive extraviganza, say just 25 - 30ish folks that live nearby, &
with NO over nite accomodation....it is more "DO-able"
Nothing Fancy, a "POT Luck", & BYO meat ( hot dogs & hamburgers are easy )

Would be nice to meet like minded PTO folks.
A few poultry people having some good poultry talk, it could be fun.

OK back to "thinking" if this could happen.
I have Nevah had that many people here - 20 was my limit.
Shallow well & septic is my main concern.
Wonder what I can do to con - oooops convince hubby this could work LOL

Until then, I'm waiting to see if I can make it to WWLady's place.
After ALL these YEARS, would be nice to see your face!!!

honestly, whatever you want for the piknik is how to go! LOL. we would rent a port-a-potty or two depending on the number of people, and save the septic. :-) LOL. and you out there, and us down here, if the dates coincided i would get hubby to set up the skype thing LOL.
my worry always with renting a campground/pavilion is if someone cancels last minute someone else is stuck with the bill....and since the forum isn't a registered business type entity it would all have to be donations to the organizer to pay. we have been looking into what it would take to actually accept donations and sell items to raise $ for the forum to host something like a bbq each year, but so far haven't had any real encouraging information about that....we are still looking though! in the time being, do not presume that you doing a bbq this year will affect ours in any way, and vice versa, it will just allow more folks to get together! :-)
