Well they did say it would stop raining today but it doesn't count if it turns to snow!
I am on higher ground so I am safe but many areas around here are in big trouble. Most national news ignored the flooding until it started to affect Montreal but Gatineau has been dealing with flooding for almost two weeks and it's getting worse. It's going to be bad because our pond was really low after all the snow melted and now it has spilled over its banks from all this rain. One of the fields next to it has flooded, it's almost pure sand so that tells you how saturated the soil is, that's never happened before.

Yessir, good luck finding a sump pump near Ottawa (thankfully I don't need one).

holy crap! when I read the word flurries in whatever weather report I was reading I cursed and stopped reading. I feel really bad for all the people caught in this flood, it sure makes one count their blessings and not complain about the weather... it could always be much worse.

Yup, had some flurries this morning and some ice pellets too, and it's snowing a bit again, luckily it's just melting on contact with the puddles, my heart goes out to those affected by flooding, what a mess to deal with.

Yup, snowing here too. We have so far been lucky with the water. We are on a mostly flat lot.

lalalalalalalalala (she says with her hands over her ears).
We had a really really hard frost last night. glad i had the heater in the greenhouse on and the heat lamp for the chicks and my hubby helped me cover up all the asparagus in the garden with some old hay last night. not bothering to remove it today because tonight will be another hard frost.

Still snowing, but sunny, does that count?
May 8th snow is a first one for me, even the dog looked somewhat stunned.
Grass growing like mad and chickens are inside, something off somewhere.
