Good day!! Gary is/was cleaning a strip out of the middle of the barn where the calves run, and while he did that, I cut the wires/strings that held up old pig panel wire, on top of the old cement partitions that only came half way up for the pigs. Its a freaking eye sore, and hes bought steel and already made up new sections to put down the middle. Halving the pen makes it easier to sort/work the cattle... as well as making calving pens on the front side, when that starts. I just hope he doesn't leave too much room at the bottom so a calf can squeeze thru. Sigh. I feel I must go out and TELL him that......

There was a steel piece along the cement, to hold them into place, with bolts here and there. He started grinding some, while I moved some pigeon nesting material (hay) out of the way, as I had just knocked down their pesky nests. I felt something whiz the back of my hat/neck... and apparently the wheel broke, and skizzed by me, and hit the 'fence' behind me. Whew! Could have been my face/eye!

I got the heck out of there. My sciatic is of course hollaring, so I came in just before noon and made some lunch. He won't come in tho. I can hear the skid steer going, he may be taking those steel 'gates' down. Better go help.....
