Winter Storm Warning!

Used to love hunting in the snow up near Burk's Falls. SO quiet and peaceful hunkered down in a tree line with the wildlife!

Winter Storm Warning!

The weather is perfect! A dusting of snow on perfect ice. Lots of wind and no visibility.
It was the worst stuff I had to drive in. So I took the on ramp to the hwy 17 and hit the guardrail. At least its just a fender and not the bumper to go with it.
I don't drive in the first two snowstorms but Carla had a church thing so it was after dinner when we came back.

Sorry to hear about your accident baronrenfrew. It's good that it wasn't worse and that you are ok. Yes, I sure don't like being out when the roads and visibility are so poor. It was nasty here Saturday, but we had another 'Celebration of Life' today and the weather and roads are much better. It sure was cold last night...-16 feeling like -21. Currently it is -5 feeling like -7. We are getting another bout of this weather on Wednesday, but not quite, as bad. Mixed precipitation though, once again.

Here are some videos and photos of the storm in Ontario from the Weather Network.

I'm including a photo of our place taken after the storm on Saturday.

One day, green grass the next all white. Tomorrow isn't going to be the nicest weather, but a lot milder with a high of 2 feeling like -2. The night forecast to be -1 and the snow begins with 5 cm through tomorrow changing to rain with 1-2 mm. Icy, slushy, slippery roads again.
