I'm lucky here in that he takes the calves away so the cows don't see or hear the calves making it mostly the first 48 hours of frantic bawling. Yes it takes all week actually but by the third night they at least sleep. However he forgot this year to leave them in the barnyard like I told him because they will try to return to the last place they saw their calves... which they did apparently.... twice today while I was at work. Lol when I came home the corral looks like a fort to keep them locked up.
