I'm getting $4 a doz from my usual customers. But, just started charging newcomers $4.50. I was shocked when I looked at the price of regular eggs in the store!! These were NOT organic, or freerun. Just plain white eggs. Almost $4.
So, freerun dark oranged yolk, FRESH, and happy chickens have to bring more for their eggs

I think most of us lose touch with the price of eggs in stores. At Whole Foods in Oakville, the "small flock delight" were $7.09/doz last time I looked. Nothing special except they ave some free range. Most people selling at the road would probably be surprised what they can sell for if they are near a city.
We get the odd person who bawks at the price or asks if we take debit when they here it (of course we don't) but otherwise it's no problem getting $5.
