First Turkey Egg!!!

Post by JimW » Tue Mar 08, 2016 6:53 pm

I got my first turkey egg today. No idea if it is a Beltsville SW or Artisan Gold they are all still together.

I have included a photo of the turkey egg, beside it is a large size chicken egg for reference. Not sure how big turkey eggs normally are?

Just kidding!!! The bottom egg is my first turkey eggs 77 grams, the top egg is a turkey "fart". I found this in my turkey pen today as well, 20 grams. Maybe I can make some quail sized turkeys.

Congrats. I've got lots of romancing happening with no sign of any eggs. It would be record early for my gang if there were any eggs.

Sweet deal Jim! I have one laying on a ledge in the big barn... cant find out where the others are... PITA! it turns out I dont have enough netting to do the run so it will be used up on the reds when I enclose there run.
