Heres an egg turner I built, I build everything, from this to forced air incubators, feeders, waterers, cages, coops, everything if i need it I build it... its so much cheaper and and built better. I used to use this design in my incubator but I can only set the timer to 1 minute and the tray would always end up back on the same side. This drove me crazy so I made another that uses a belt and 2 pulleys from a sowing machine which would stop on the opposite side.... perfect! So anyways after a bunch of research I have determined it dosent matter as long as the eggs turn from one side to the other, well this turner turns 6 times every 4 hours and it works. Its made with a bbq rotisserie, a digital timer and misc parts. I thought someone else might be scratching there head trying to figure out how to turn there eggs and heres a simple and cheap solution....
