maybe thats where my website is leading me.... maybe thats what my underlying goal was... Home Grown Poultry would be a great name for do it yourselfers.... incubators, hatchers, brooders, pluckers. from start to finish. gotta meet all the csa approval guidlines and testing... which wouldnt be a problem if i had money... LOL.

Well I dug out the drum. its cut to 16"... i dont think I could do a turkey in it... hmmmm well theres 1 full barrel here id just hate to cut it in half. ohhhhhhhh ! Im guna buy a brand new heavy duty garbage can... they come with a lid!

Oh man I want to build one of these pluckers. Al, check the finger puller out, makes it easier.... "Whizbang finger puller"

It's a full barrel cut in half , not length wise . Used at one time for horse waterer . I'll bring her . I'll take a pic next time out there .

Awesome Ross! i could make yours with my short one. Thanks man! I think a lot of the parts to build a plucker might be on squirrel cage from a furnace. shaft, pulleys, bearings, belt and motor plus all the mounting hardware. ill check with my FIL first but the restore always has them for not much. heck could even use the cage to direct water n feathers into a bucket or something, right into a pillow case. . LOL
