This is my new egg candler I made today in less then 30 mins it's made out of a peice of 6" perimeter pipe, two 6" galvanized caps, a light box, a outlet for the light bulb, 14/2 wire foam tape and a plug. I cut a hole in the one cap a little smaller then the electrical box so the wires can go in and connect to the light bulb outlet. Also need holes for the screws to connect the light bulb outlet and the electrical box together. Then drilled a 1 1/2" hole in the other cap where the egg goes. I put foam tape around the 1 1/2" hole so it wouldn't be so sharp. I hooked up the electrical and put the two caps on the pipe. I like it but going to get a new cap and mount the electrical box inside instead on the outside because it's really wobbly! But was super easy and super cheap!
