I saw this online and wondered if it could be used for a heat lamp. It looks like you can only order it online, or get it with a panel heater. Has anyone tried using one of these?

Have never bought/used one, but yeah, if your panel heater doesn't have thermostat control, this looks like a good add-on solution.

Or, you could look for a thermo cube from

I have 2 of them and they work great!

We have about 10 of those as well. The temp in the advertising is in FARENHEIT though, not Celsius. They work great. There's about one per year that dies.

The thermocube is preset to turn off at 45 degrees. I don't think that would be warm enough for my Seramas. I don't have a panel heater. I am using a 250 watt heat lamp.

I used my thermo cube with a heat lamp in my original coop (4x3x4) it's well insulated. I've had it plugged in during this cold snap and it's been working well. The Seramas did fine at 45 degrees, at -20 not so much. But then the heat lamps never turn off.
