Does this sound as if it will be good for the coop floor? It's environmentally friendly and will not harm animals :). What is more, they sell it at Home Hardware, so no shipping charges involved AND a gallon can is on special right now. Of course I bought the quart-size can which isn't quite big enough, so back it goes.....

Does it dry smooth or kind of rough? If it's rough it might be hard to clean unless you spray wash it.

That's a thought. I hope it will be smooth! There's a blob of it on the lid and it doesn't have any particles in it, so I think it should be ok.

Thanks. Going to buy a gallon and see if it will seal the leaky roof that the tar doesn't. Roofing tar does fine for a month or so, then cracks and shrinks. Will try it anyway.

Farrier, I bought the small can yesterday, then discovered that it wouldn't be quite enough. We went to H. Hardware to swap it for the larger one on our way out to supper last night, but they close at 6 pm and the sale ended yesterday - sniff!

I suppose you would have to apply it on wood or cement? Couldn't use it on a dirt floor??

I don't know. It is used on hard surfaces, and can even be used for ponds! You can ask them. They have a pop up where you can ask a question from a live assistant at https://liquidrubber.ca/
