My aviary
My aviary
So it has been a little in the making as the pictures show but I built a 10x12 outdoor aviary with a 3x7 shelter on it and I put a small landscaped pond in the corner it’s 1x1 welded wire with 1 inch top netting
Now just to decide what to buy for it...

Re: My aviary
Lovely! Oh, the possibilities! My first thought was some cute little call ducks, but my second thought was of how lightning fast ducks will foul the beautiful pond and eat the plant roots.

Re: My aviary
Lovely pond, but even chickens will destroy it, you may want to fence it off, before you put any animals in there.
Or like Ross said frogs will work, but they will come anyway and both ducks and chickens would eat them.
What a dilemma :)

Would quail work in there? Or some lovely finches in the warmer weather?

Re: My aviary
No call ducks too loud to have in my backyard also no chickens I myself am leaning toward either ornamental ducks ie mandarins or woodducks, or quail or ruffed Pheasants. Also just for those of you who are scared for the plants I picked these plants as they lived through the Muscovy and call duck attacks in my moms pond in my younger days oops.
