haha be ready in 7 or 8 weeks
Yeah most of the mud was mud to begin with. loads of wood and trash all over it. im trying to level it out now and spread the 3 bags of hay seed I saved from the old place. man am I ever glad i swept up all the hay wagons and bagged it up. I have tonnes of seed and its timothy hay. it grows a beautiful grass when kept short. heres to hoping that plan works out.
haha I have the pulley driven water pump from the washing machine plucker. im going to somehow run it off the windmill and pump a waterfall. thats the next project. i really want to be able to put some fish in it. preferable minnows so mosquitoes dont take up residence. so its guna have to be very clean. ill get there. maybe i could use hay/straw bales as the medium for the biological filter. now thats a great idea! Thanks OC!
Oh and I also need a load of pea gravel as a substrate for the bottom of the pond to keep the clay particles to a minimum and give more area for the bacteria to live.

You sure you are not the energizer bunny Al???
You have done soooo much work in the short time you've been there AND it looks great!!!
When you are done do you think you wife would mind if you came over here to build me chicken pens, outdoor runs, ponds etc? Lol
My hubby would sooo appreciate if she said yes

Poor turkeys think they're ducks now. Good job we put the coops on deck blocks. Didn't realise where the low spots were. hubby just gone out to try to dig some drains.

all right the big O and drain has been installed. the trenches have been filled in. iv levelled out most of the ground and filled in all the low spots that collect water. I just need to bust it up, rake it out and stomp it down.
sweet! now i can almost start building my red outdoor pens.
