Baby Falcons

If anyoune remembers my falcon from a couple years ago. Actually morphed into a chicken. Set her three weeks ago, on eggs from home here. Had some problems this year for hatching, but these worked out not bad. Five out of eight. She is the growliest hen. Most of them are quiet as anything while they are setting, not her. Open the coop door and she is growling and snarling and swearing from 10 feet away. STAY AWAY, IM PRETTY MEAN, I'M MAKING BABIES YOU KNOW! JUST GET OUT. and stuff I cant repeat on a family friendly forum.

Anyway, here are some pics. Two black and three striped. See the food on her beak in the one? I love it how they feed the little ones like that. My standard first day meal for them, a boiled egg whacked in half with a table knife, shell and all. Lots of grit on the floor of the stall for them to select the right size. Water in the margerine container with a rock in it so it wont tip too easy and they can get out of if they flutter in. I do like my broodies.

Those Falcons can fool you, tricky they are. Beautiful babies but don't be surprised if they start behaving like little Falcons, especially if you provide cooked eggs
