Don't give up hope yet! Maybe they are just delayed from their cooling down. :xfingers:

I would do a quick candle to see, at this point, where those chicks are at.

Well. A friend had a hatch in the incubator. Gave me two chicks and a third one pipping. I put them under her about 230 this aft and they seem to be doing fine. I usually wait til evening to graft, but timing wasnt with me this time and it seems to be working.

Broke open the other eggs. Four were probably not fertile, yellow guck. Four were pretty gucky too, but some dark spots and blood vessels that were now black. So that time off the nest did in at least half the clutch. But Peachy now has chicks, I am well pleased.

Been a busy week, hatched about 9 out of 14 shipped eggs this week. Sold 7 kept 3 could have sold, all my growout, my next 2 hatches and my entire flock! People are crazy for chicks right now...lol

Craziest thing, I put these under one of my broody girls who has been taking care of my last hatch 2 weeks ago. She took all of them, but attacked the 2 buff ones. I mean went after them. Everytime she saw them she would peck them. The others, she was fine with. Everytime I heard a baby scream I ran down to find Momma running the buff ones off. It got to the point I had to turn off the lights and cover the brooder so she could see them. Once she couldn't see them she was fine. Needless to say, I had to sell them, and they were my first true buffs to hatch this year...lol crazy chickens

Kenya, is that even if she hatched them herself? Or transplanted from the incubator?
