Mailed eggs

I am thinking, that Windwalking woof should change her handle to WWWW, the Wonderful Wind Walking Woof. She mailed me a dozen eggs from her bantie stock. And my splash hen Niagra sat on them patiently for 20 days. Once, I thought we might have lost them, came in in the eve and she was on the wrong nest, eggs were getting cool, put her back on and it looks like it worked. Eight fully hatched so far, a couple more pipping. It never gets old.

Note the horse hair in the next box. I do that after they set when its available, makes a nicer nest for them.

 :dance1: Mailed on Tuesday? Arrived and set on Monday, hatched on a Saturday/Sunday!! Holy crap. First time I've ever mailed eggs, and I am astonished it worked. I expected maybe three chicks at best. Otto VonBismarck said "fate has special providence for fools, drunkards, and little chicks." Or something like that. And, you have two mottled carriers and TWO of the mottled/crele chicks???!!! I clearly gave you my best eggs, as I have hatched NONE of those so far this year roflmbo
Thank you for the kind words, but I can't take much credit. All the stars lined up just right, or something!

The final count is in. 11 out of 12 hatched, I guess you will send me a refund for the dud?

I used top work at a company and the customer satisfaction agent's name was Helen Waite. So dissatisfied customers were told to go to Helen Waite. I heard you might have hired the same customer relations lady, so I expect I will have to go to Helen Waite for my refund.

Oh wow. :yippie: Eleven!! :mailboxhappy:
I may have to add a new appellation to my title. I will now officially be: Wind Blowing Woof, Egg Packager Extraordinare.
Sorry, I don't give refunds, but I will ship out a single replacement egg, as soon as I see photographic proof that the egg in question is actually a dud. Quite frankly, I'm not sure I believe you. You probably dropped it or something. Photographs must be notarized, and witnessed/signed by no less than two of your neighbours, who can vouch for your honesty when I call them for references.
:beer2:
Congratulations on what is probably THE best hatch of shipped eggs, EVER!
Need pictures of them ALL!

I don't know, I would stick with the wolf, "wind blowing woof" sounds a bit airy fairy....... :)

One more pic. Their fried egg for the first supper. One of them seems to be a little week, See what the morning brings.
