New little mommy

Post by Skinny rooster » Mon Jun 11, 2018 12:06 pm

This little hen Sat on eleven eggs and since they seemed fertile I left them all, she hatched out eleven chicks! I think that is the most I ever let one have.

Were there 11 eggs in the nesting box, or did you place more under her?

She sat on eleven eggs, she was covering them well so I let her keep all eleven. I was hoping for 8 or 9 chicks but it was 11 so 100% hatch!

She's beautiful! And the chicks are just precious. Almost makes me wish that my Gracie to go broody again. Almost.

Not to be out done by her full sister, this little hen also just hatched eleven chicks, which was a surprise since I only let her have 9 or 10 eggs, she added extra in after lol.
Another hen hatched eleven chicks.
Another hen hatched eleven chicks.
She has already proven herself, she successfully raised chicks in March.
