Well the final count is in. Six pullets and 2 cockerels! I’m 75% pullets for eggs hatched here this year (which is only a grand total of 12 but I will take it!)
Here’s the girls:

The 4th one is Honey and the last one is Little’s actual chick (based on the spangled appearance coming out)

The boys.

Handsome little devils but still not positive what colour they will end up.

Wow, I have never seen a color like the second last one, not on a chicken anyway :)

@Ontario Chick
Do you mean the Cockerel? I'm so curious to see how he will turn out. The parent flock was a mix of splash, blue, black, crele and I'm guessing silver duck wing. Possibly a black breasted red in there. His colour is really popping out over the past few days. The last pullet is exactly like the chicks that Little and Sherman have produced before with the odd spangled pattern. When I sent pictures of the chicks to the breeder he said he had never got one like that before so it confirmed my suspicion that it was Little's actual egg. Every spangled chick has previously been a male so I'm super excited to get a pullet!

Well Honey doesn't seem the worse for wear!
Is the top one a kind of chocolate laced bird?

Honey is a bit smaller than the rest but she came from the tiniest egg and hatched a full 3 days behind her oldest sibling so to be expected. She still tucks herself under moms legs to sleep on the perch ♥️
The first chick is an odd colour. I think the photo makes her more brown than reality. In some light she’s black-in others she looks more dirty blue laced if that makes sense. She’s the only one with fully black legs and feet. I’ve named her Luna. The others are Frankie, Pearl, Grace, Honey and no name for the speckled one yet. The boys I really shouldn’t name but I’ve been calling them Stewart and Spanky lol.

Sorry, yes I meant the firs cockerel, was so taken by the color I missed the pullet cockerel division ;)
I see the Crele in there, otherwise it looks like you got one of each in the pullets :)

Couldn’t be happier with the mix that I got! What do you think Honey is? And the other (duller) partridge one? I was thinking crele but not sure.

Love the spangled and the blue, the first one I think is just a very dark blue.

I’m very partial to the spangled as well. And yes I think you’re right @kenya about that first one. She looked black when she hatched so I keep thinking of her that way.

Little tried taking over the main coop tonight. She got all of her babies up on her and Sherman’s perch. That didn’t go very well. Sherman didn’t hurt the chicks but he jumped up into the middle of them and made it clear that he wasn’t ok with this plan lol. I had to relocate them back to the kindergarten side of the coop. I think I may need to add another Banty perch up high for them. I’d rather that Little gets them moved in there while she is still protecting them. Less work for me later. Right now there’s not a chicken in my yard that’s brave enough to even glance sideways at Littles babies lol.
