Dec 1 Peepers

So I set Fondue Remembrance Day. Three weeks, and she is hatching today. Have four so far out of seven eggs set. Will see in the morning what has made it out, and put them in the empty goat stall for a few days. Then they can join the hoi poloi.

Not sure what this weather and the light timer is dong, but have had to break two in that three weeks. I won't set any more til spring now. ("That's what you said the last time" my wife.) But new chicks, hard to beat, and a god momma taking care of them. Life is good.

Also, set all Marans eggs. Kathy, I think your wheaten line is carrying on here. Black copper roo, but that yellow chick says probably. I have a couple wheaten with dark tail, I think I got those eggs from you in March or so.

She was still hatching this morning. So moved her this aft. Final count is six out of seven eggs hatched. Four black, two grey and one yellow.
