Day 21 and no chicks

Post by Satellite » Mon Oct 10, 2016 8:11 pm

I am quite surprised and disappointed. ..no babies! They looked good at day 10. I didn't check again though. She is isolated in her own cozy pen and she has been a dedicated if not obsessive sitter. I find it odd.

Buf I suppose those are the breaks.....there is always next time

Don't give up yet, they may take a little longer!

Agree with brebis. I always give an extra day or two before giving up on them. Fingers :xfingers:

Yeah give her a little more time, it's gotten a little colder that could have slowed the hatch a day or 2.

If you have an incubator, put the eggs in for a day. Some eggs might need an extra day. Slip chicks under at night.
