Day 21 and no chicks
Thanks for asking farrier. Only 2 out of the 8 hatched. 1 died hatching and I checked the ones that didn't. ...they stopped developing early on. I was a little disappointed but I hadn't really planned on hatching anyway so they were just a bonus! Funny enough, I had a hatch 3 weeks before where 10 out of 12 hatched so I guess in the end I got my full dozen :)
These 2 are euskal oila chicks. I am certain I have one of each. In week 1 they are both different in colouring and wing pattern. I will upload pics when we return from our Kingston holiday.
Thanks for all the encouragement everyone.

Day 21 and no chicks
Hey, thanks for the update. Two chicks is not a bad number for the hen this time of year, easier for her to take care of, cover when its cold etc. I have one (Bianca) with two about a month old, and it works well right now.
I don't plan on setting anything til March or so now. Set one about a month ago on 8 eggs, she sat for about 15 days, then abandoned the nest, nature telling her she mad a mistake maybe, don't know. I have had them set and hatch in all months of the year, but it is certainly not ideal without climate controlled coop. You lose some, and that always pulls at the heart strings.
