What is the latest you have allowed a broody to hatch eggs?

So, I went to find a missing cornish hen, and of course she's gone broody in the pen my geese use at night (a safe place if you ask me to hide behind those hissing monsters).

When do you allow a hen to go broody? Sometimes its not my decision.

Well I have one of my Serama hens just decide she want to brood some eggs, I have been fighting her for two weeks taking the eggs away. I caved :doh: , she is sitting on 3 now, hope they are not fertile :hide:
